Job summary

Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company, part of the PPL Corporation, seeks an experienced project observer to oversee contractor activities across LG&E and KU facilities. The role includes coordinating work between operations and contractors, and advising management on safety, quality, and schedule.

The position may serve as a project lead within major capital projects, driving performance improvements and ensuring adherence to safety and design specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 15+ years in related production maintenance, power production, or industrial construction projects.
• Ten years of supervisory/project experience preferred; PM certification or external training advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Observe contractors’ construction activities at LG&E and KU facilities.
• Monitor safety, schedule, quality, and contractor performance; propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate interfaces between departments and contractors; document activities and issues.
• Mentor construction coordinators and ensure compliance with company policy and safety standards.
