Job summary

Walbridge seeks an experienced Controller to lead the finance group, overseeing financial statement prep, planning, analysis and forecasting. The role collaborates with project accountants, directors and superintendents to drive financial and operational excellence. Located at Walbridge Headquarters in Detroit, MI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, engineering or relevant discipline.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Proficient knowledge of WIP, A/P, A/R, P/R and G/L; leadership experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all aspects of Accounting and Finance, including A/R, A/P, financial statements and tax returns.
• Provide review and final approval of all cash disbursements.
• Negotiate and manage Walbridge insurance program.
• Administrative review of Building Support group (mail and office supplies).
• Monitor activities related to building care and maintenance.
