Job summary

CFS, a growing private equity-backed construction organization with approximately $200M in revenue, seeks a hands-on Corporate Controller to lead the accounting team. You will own month-end close, financial reporting, treasury, reconciliations, and oversee WIP/PoC across roughly 400 active jobs.

You will coach a five-person corporate accounting team and guide four regional controllers, partnering with executives and auditors.

Qualifications

• Strong construction accounting experience with hands-on expertise in percentage-of-completion, WIP schedules, and over/under billings.
• Proven leadership experience with coaching and developing accounting professionals.
• Experience with Spectrum Viewpoint is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate accounting function, including month-end close, financial reporting, treasury, account reconciliations, and related Controller responsibilities.
• Oversee construction accounting and WIP reporting across approximately 400 active jobs, including percentage-of-completion accounting, job profitability, over/under billings, and related reconciliations.
• Manage, coach, and develop a five-person corporate accounting team while providing ongoing guidance and training to four Regional Controllers.
• Review accounting processes and work product while remaining hands-on and willing to step into detailed accounting work when needed.
• Partner with executive leadership, regional operations, and external auditors, including supporting the annual audit process.
