Job summary

Walbridge seeks an experienced Controller to lead the finance group, overseeing financial statement prep, planning, analysis and forecasting. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, engineering or relevant discipline.
• Active CPA license.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting/finance.
• Proficient knowledge of WIP, A/P, A/R, P/R and G/L; leadership experience.
• Proficient in MS Office; ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Eligible to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervises all aspects of Accounting and Finance, including A/R, A/P, financial statements and tax returns.
• Provide review and final approval of all cash disbursements.
• Negotiate and manage Walbridge insurance program.
• Administrative review of Building Support group (mail and office supplies).
• Monitor activities related to building care and maintenance.

Overview

Walbridge is seeking an experienced Controller who will be a key team member of the finance group. As a leader within finance, the position encompasses various aspects of financial statement preparation, financial planning, analysis, and forecasting to increase performance and improve the company’s bottom line. The position includes heavy involvement with operational staff, including project accountants, project directors, and superintendents, to understand and drive financial and operational excellence.

Location

You will work at the Walbridge Headquarters in Detroit, MI.

Preference will be given to candidates currently located in the Detroit Metropolitan area.
