Wylander Solutions is seeking a Director of Accounting/Controller for a client in Hainesville, IL. This senior role leads the accounting department, oversees AR/AP, payroll, and HR duties, and directs budgeting, forecasts, and monthly closes.

Ideal candidates will have 10+ years in accounting with 5+ in a controller capacity within the construction sector, strong financial reporting skills, and a track record of staff development and process improvements.

Competenze

• 10+ years of accounting experience.
• 5+ years within a controller role.
• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance.

Mansioni

• Manage Accounting Department: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, HR duties, and payroll.
• Direct and coordinate the company’s financial planning and budget management functions, as well as cash flow forecasting
• Manage the preparation of financial reports, forecasts, and analyze monthly operating results compared to the budget.
• Oversee daily operations of the finance department
• Assist in collecting overdue receivables
• Design the organization structure for the finance department and staff positions with qualified employees, and continually train and develop employees to accomplish the department’s goals and objectives. effectively
• Ensure compliance with local, state / provincial, and federal reporting requirements.
• Work with other department managers, executives, and owners to develop and execute the strategic plan.
• Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for process and procedure improvements
• Establish and implement short and long-range departmental objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
• Accurately prepare and file required tax forms.
• Hiring, development, and termination decisions for finance department employees
