Job summary

United Integrated Services (UIS) is seeking a Construction Contract Attorney to lead the drafting and negotiation of master service, vendor, and consulting agreements for a large semiconductor project. The role partners with procurement, project management, finance, and safety to align legal risk with business objectives.

The ideal candidate has a JD, bar admission, 5+ years in construction contracts, and a proven ability to resolve disputes related to change orders, delays, and performance

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar in AZ or another state is required.
• 5+ years of legal experience in construction, commercial contracts, procurement, or related practice area is required.
• Experience negotiating master agreements for large construction projects through redlines and conference calls.
• Experience resolving disputes involving change orders, claims, delays, and subcontractor performance is required.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, revise, and negotiate master service agreements, professional service agreements, vendor agreements, consulting agreements, NDAs, amendments, change orders, and other commercial documents.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, standard terms, clauses, and legal playbooks aligned with UIS's risk tolerance and business requirements.
• Develop and execute UIS initiative to increase productive use of AI in contract functions.
• Advise on subcontractor contractual relationships, scope adjustments, contract time impacts, price structures, and pending modifications with project and procurement teams.
• Assist project management and procurement teams in understanding contractual rights, obligations, notice requirements, remedies, and interpretation issues.
