Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million-dollar Ops construction projects. You will work with a team of category managers and partner with Pre-Construction, Design, and World Wide teams to develop sourcing strategies and deliver value across the construction category.

The successful candidate will be a self-starter capable of independent work in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment, driving process

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
• 4+ years of supply chain experience.
• Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead General Contractor and supplier strategies for construction category projects, partnering with a multi-disciplinary team, owning the delivery of complex, multi-million-dollar sites.
• Identify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision-making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership.
• Build relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders to effectively plan and deliver site launches to meet site construction programs, particularly for Prime week and Peak season.
• Own the individual targets and goals identified across the NA GC construction category scope as well as identifying and delivering incremental process and system improvements
• Drive Supplier sourcing, award, contracting and ongoing support until project delivery, while maintaining commercial relationships with suppliers, with a principal objective of achieving optimal cost and performance;
• Lead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility;
• Help develop Key Performance Indicators and set goals for the team
• Audit the progress of the team to ensure we are meeting customer expectations
• Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed
