Job summary

Amazon's Global Procurement Organization is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead end-to-end commercial delivery of multi-million-dollar GC construction projects across NA. You will develop sourcing strategies, manage bids, contracts, and handover while partnering with Real Estate, Design & Construction, Engineering Services, and Finance.

You will influence senior leadership with data-driven market insights, define KPIs, and drive cost savings while navigating cross-functional priorities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in strategic sourcing and category management in indirect spend.
• 7+ years of negotiations, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• 5+ years constructing management or working with general contractors.
• Experience owning program strategy and presenting results to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end commercial delivery of multi-million-dollar GC construction projects.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to drive competition and cost savings.
• Collaborate with Real Estate, Design & Construction, and Engineering Services to align vendor capacity.
• Manage supplier lifecycle: performance, should-cost, risk monitoring, sustainability delivery.
• Provide data-driven market intelligence to inform roadmap decisions with senior stakeholders.
• Define and own KPIs; track progress and drive process improvements.
• Travel up to 10% for site visits and supplier reviews.
