Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Category Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale Ops construction projects. You will partner with a multi-disciplinary team including Pre-Construction, Design and Construction, WW Real-Estate and WW Design to develop and execute category sourcing strategies.

You will own supplier strategies, drive long-term sourcing initiatives, and manage delivery while achieving cost and performance goals. Travel up to 25% is required as projects demand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
• 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience.
• 3+ years of supply chain experience.
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead General Contractor and supplier strategies for construction category projects, partnering with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Identify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies; drive category roadmap decisions with senior leadership.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to plan and deliver site launches.
• Own targets across NA GC construction category scope and drive process improvements.
• Drive supplier sourcing, award, contracting and ongoing support through project delivery.
• Lead supplier performance management including sustainability and social responsibility.
