Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active California bar association membership.
• 5–10 years of litigation and dispute resolution experience.
• Specialization in construction law is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction codes, labor law and safety regulations.
• Ability to handle heavy caseload with little supervision.
• Strong writing, decision-making, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, modify, and create construction contracts and contractor agreements.
• Provide legal counsel by analyzing situations and defining strategy.
• Prepare legal documents such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and claims.
• Resolve construction claims and disputes to avoid litigation where possible.
• Mediate, negotiate, arbitrate, litigate, and argue motions in court.
• Supervise administrative staff and coordinate client billing and meetings.
