Job summary

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school and active California bar license.
5–10 years of litigation experience in construction law or as general counsel.
Strong writing, negotiation, and client counseling abilities.
Knowledge of construction contracts, labor law, building codes, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Review, modify, and create construction and government contracts to protect clients.
Provide strategic legal counsel and analysis for client needs.
Prepare motions, pleadings, briefs, and claims for clients.
Resolve disputes to avoid litigation where possible and advocate in court when needed.
Mediate, negotiate, arbitrate, and litigate on behalf of clients.
Supervise administrative staff and coordinate client billing and meetings.
