Job summary

R.H. White is seeking a senior accounting professional to manage day-to-day accounting functions and ensure accurate financial reporting.

The role reports to the Controller and supervises the Payroll Supervisor and Staff Accountant, focusing on month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls across multiple entities. Ideal candidate has a 4-year accounting degree, 10+ years in construction accounting, CPA preferred, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive high standards

Qualifications

• Requires 4-year Business/Accounting degree; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in construction accounting or equivalent.
• Knowledge of construction accounting, auditing, payroll, A/P, A/R required.
• Proficiency with ERP software; COINS experience preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office 365 skills and data analysis abilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for all balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Manage month-end close processes and related documentation.
• Oversee payroll tax reconciliation, reporting, and multi-employer payments across entities/states.
• Develop audit schedules and support documentation; assist audits.
• Lead special projects and respond to ad-hoc requests as needed.
