Job summary

R.H. White seeks an experienced Controller to oversee daily accounting and lead the Finance Department, ensuring accurate financial reporting for a multi-company group in the construction industry.

Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities include A/P, A/R, Billing and Payroll oversight through Accounting Manager, coordinating with external auditors for annual statements, and ensuring compliance with federal and state tax requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in accounting or business, with 10 years' experience, or bachelor's with 15 years' experience.
• Minimum 5 years in construction industry with consolidated financial reporting and job cost accounting.
• Construction accounting experience required.
• Proficient in ERP accounting systems and Office applications.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• Experience in Job Cost and/or Fixed Asset accounting in construction.
• Knowledge of federal/state sales and payroll tax requirements.
• Strong management and communication skills; able to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and prepare financial/regulatory reports.
• Run Finance Department operations and supervise AP, AR, Billing and Payroll through Accounting Manager.
• Coordinate with external auditors for annual audited statements.
