Job summary

Zero Impact Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the Construction Arm’s financial accounting, ensuring GAAP compliance and providing strategic guidance to management. You will manage a dedicated accounting team focusing on project costs, budgeting, and reporting.

The role involves close collaboration with Project Management, Operations, Procurement, and Legal to ensure accurate financial information, timely invoicing, and strong internal controls in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business with accounting emphasis required.
• 3 years of “big 4” accounting firm experience is preferred.
• Experience in navigating through complex technical accounting matters is a must.
• Current CPA license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly financial reports and project results.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Operations to obtain invoices, receipts, approvals, and project documentation; investigate discrepancies and variances.
• Manage the month-end close process, reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and WIP in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Maintain centralized lien logs and construction compliance records as part of project accounting duties.
