Job summary

Tech Electronics in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Senior Accountant – Projects to manage financials for construction projects from setup to closeout, partnering with PMs, Operations, Sales and leadership to ensure accurate reporting, timely invoicing, and strong cost control.

The ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in accounting with construction/project accounting, experience with job costing, WIP, progress billing, retainage and revenue recognition; proficiency in Excel and ERP systems such as

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
Master's in Accounting, MBA, CPA a plus
3-5+ years of accounting experience; 2+ years in construction/project accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain financial records for assigned construction projects.
Monitor project costs, revenue, profitability, and budget performance.
Prepare and review project profitability reports and variance analyses.
Assist with month-end job cost reconciliations.
Prepare progress billings, milestone billings, time and material invoices, and AIA billings.
Support revenue recognition processes and WIP reporting.
Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project financial information is accurate and current.
