Jobot is seeking a Senior Construction Accountant in Phoenix, AZ onsite to lead the full accounting cycle for a multi-entity construction firm. The role focuses on job costing, cost allocation, and financial reporting to support timely decision‑making.

You will collaborate with project managers and executives, ensure accuracy across entities, and drive improvements in internal controls and processes. A 5+ year construction accounting background and Sage 300/Timberline experience are essential,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 / Timberline.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities.
• Solid understanding of the full accounting lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Advanced Excel skills and financial reporting proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities and states.
• Perform construction job cost accounting, ensuring proper cost allocation and project tracking.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Partner with project managers and operations teams to ensure accurate job cost reporting.
• Support year-end audits and tax preparation.
• Help improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.
• Provide financial reporting and analysis to support leadership decision-making.
