G.A. Johnson Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the financial and administrative operations of our construction management and design-build business.

This full-time role in Harrisburg, SD will handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll, monthly financial statements, and year-end audits. You'll coordinate with internal teams and external parties, ensure accurate reporting, maintain confidential information, and adapt to deadlines while learning our internal

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, payroll processing, and benefit administration.
• Experience with Sage accounting software is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills and effective verbal and written communication.

Aufgaben

• Process accounts payable transactions and help ensure invoices and payments are recorded accurately and on time.
• Manage accounts receivable activities, maintain organized records, and support timely follow-up on outstanding items.
• Process payroll accurately and in accordance with company procedures and applicable reporting requirements.
• Support benefit administration and maintain related accounting and employee documentation with appropriate care.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and contribute to the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Assist with year-end activities and annual audits by preparing, organizing, and providing requested documentation.
• Use accounting software and Microsoft Office tools to maintain records, prepare reports, and support routine financial tasks.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and other relevant contacts to resolve questions and keep accounting workflows moving.
• Protect confidential financial and employee information and meet recurring deadlines with attention to detail.
