Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a senior Construction Administrator/Project Manager to lead preconstruction efforts for complex public or educational facilities. You will review project scope, coordinate across design disciplines, and contribute critical constructability feedback.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years of full-time experience with an Architecture degree, with a track record in construction administration and design roles on multi-million-dollar projects.

Qualifications

• 15 years of full-time paid experience with an Architecture degree, including 10 years acting as Construction Administrator
• 5 years remaining must be acting as a Designer
• Construction Administrator experience on public/educational facilities with $8M+ project value

Responsibilities

• Supports the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative during preconstruction in scope of work and schedule including interim housing requirements
• Makes value engineering recommendations at the outset of the design
• Comments on design deliverables to reduce RFIs and Change Orders by identifying inconsistencies and errors
• Ensure documents are coordinated between design disciplines
• Prepares comprehensive constructability review of pre-bid construction documents
• Coordinates efforts with the Design Manager and Owner Authorized Representative in a collaborative way
• Performs other duties as assigned
