Job summary

Fieldpiece Instruments in Park City, Utah (with a planned move to Heber City in 2027) is seeking a Senior Upstream Product Manager for Connected Solutions and Customer Insights. You will own the hardware, firmware, and connected software portfolio strategy, partnering with engineering to translate customer needs into compelling product plans.

The role blends hardware, firmware, and software leadership, requires a strong technical background, and emphasizes VOC-driven decision making.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field.
10+ years in upstream product management, marketing, or strategy.
Strong technical background with connected hardware, firmware, and software.
Proven success bringing technical products from concept through commercialization.
Expertise translating VOC and market research into product requirements and tradeoffs.
Outstanding communication and executive presentation skills.
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into customer value propositions.

Responsibilities

Develop strategy for hardware, firmware, and connected software solutions.
Identify market opportunities through VOC research, field engagement, and competitive analysis.
Partner with engineering to define requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.
Build business cases to guide product investments.
Lead products from concept through commercialization.
Develop go-to-market strategies and successful product launches.
