Job summary

Samost Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Southern New Jersey is seeking an experienced Chef for the on-site Senior Congregate Meal Program in partnership with Camden County Division of Senior Services. The role focuses on menu planning, budgeting, and supervising kitchen staff and volunteers to deliver nutritious meals in a compliant, kosher-conscious setting.

Qualifications

• Current Serve Safe Certification
• Experience in large scale food service operation
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and data tracking

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and execution for the Senior Congregate Meal Program in compliance with Camden County regulations
• Budget management for ingredients, supplies, and equipment within set parameters
• Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers
• Ensure health department standards, hygiene, safety, and Kashrut compliance
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain kosher guidelines and regulatory inspections
