Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to support VA applications and spearhead the migration to the cloud. You will develop and maintain CM tools for configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both in-house and COTS software.

The role requires deep CM and release engineering expertise, experience with Git, CI/CD, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python), and strong collaboration across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering complex software builds and releases.
• Experience in large regulated enterprises or federal environments.
• Deep expertise in software configuration management and release engineering.
• Broad knowledge of development, QA, systems engineering, and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Support VA applications and lead migration to cloud.
• Develop and maintain CM tools for identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software and COTS.
• Perform CM and release engineering tasks ensuring documentation and standard hardware configurations.
• Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools to improve software modeling and development.
• Design and implement build procedures to support software product development and use.
• Develop software configuration standards for company-wide use.
• Train developers in CM tools and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and solutions to complex problems.
• Operate autonomously and make sound decisions.
• Ensure compliant, repeatable build and deployment processes across projects.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and train junior analysts/engineers in CM best practices.
