Job description

**Job Description**

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Analyst to join our team supporting an acquisition program for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications System. The successful candidate will provide program and project management support for the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) Acquisition Programs, aimed at extending the SACCS system's life and transitioning into the follow-on Sentinel ICBM System (formerly Ground Based Strategic Deterrent - GBSD).

Our team includes experienced staff with extensive expertise in the Minuteman III weapon system and actively participates in ongoing studies and assessments for future system updates. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Applying configuration/data management principles to develop, streamline, and document configuration processes.
  2. Applying configuration principles to Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition, and Software Acquisition.
  3. Enforcing Systems Engineering processes to ensure configuration management compliance with the Systems Engineering Plan.
  4. Controlling and managing the engineering baseline for the project.
  5. Conducting audits to ensure program development complies with configuration standards.

Potential candidates should demonstrate the ability to:

  1. Model and demonstrate leadership in ethics, safety, and security.
  2. Attend internal and external meetings to address business and customer requirements.
  3. Review and approve all customer correspondence and deliverables.
  4. Follow all required processes, especially peer reviews, to ensure quality.
  5. Be accountable to the Program Manager for tasks and assignments.
  6. Serve as a focal point for individual tasks/projects.
  7. Support government leadership and maintain strong customer relationships.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.

_This position requires US Citizenship and is located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah._

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience or master's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • At least 3 years of progressive technical leadership responsibility.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry and Air Force standards for Configuration Management and Systems Engineering processes.
  • Working knowledge of engineering drawings and equipment specifications.
  • Experience with contractor engineering control/release processes.
  • Ability to apply complex management and administrative principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cognitive skills.
  • Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance within the last 5 years.
  • Self-discipline in planning and prioritizing work with successful outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience with DoD, USAF, or other military organizations.
  • Experience with technical systems development.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera, or other scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of requirements management tools.
  • Familiarity with acquisition documents such as Middle Tier Acquisition, Major Capability Acquisition, Statements of Work, and Performance Work Statements.
  • Knowledge of model-based systems engineering processes.
  • Experience managing a program baseline.
Pay Information

Salary Range: $77,814 - $132,283. Salaries are determined by various factors including skills, education, experience, and market conditions.
