Ursa Major seeks a Senior Configuration Engineer to own system CAD configurations from development to production, ensuring accurate eBOMs and proper documentation for all hardware programs. Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace, Systems, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years experience with hardware-focused orgs, managing large CAD assemblies.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001.
• Demonstrated organization skills.
• Ability to earn trust and build relationships.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced development.

Responsibilities

• Ownership and configuration management of system CAD models across development and production, maintaining eBOM and assembly configurations.
• Define clear communication processes between design, manufacturing, and test operations for configuration management.
• Incorporation of Design for Manufacturing feedback from manufacturing team.
• Ensure system model support for build instructions and up-to-date Work Instructions.
• Deliver eBOMs to manufacturing at appropriate intervals aligned with engineering changes.
• Develop Technical Data Packages for customer delivery.
• Develop and guide Digital Engineering and Model Based Engineering approaches.
• Manage assemblies with multiple subassemblies and interfaces against customer documents.
