Job summary

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is seeking an experienced catering coordinator to manage and coordinate all catering functions for social and corporate events. The position involves negotiating pricing and space, working with staff to upsell and service events, and assisting with budgeting and strategic planning for catering sales.

Qualifications

• Fluent English required.
• 1–2 years in sales or marketing related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate food and beverage prices, function space, and hotel services within approved guidelines.
• Work with catering staff to service and solicit new business; upsell events and manage space and room blocks.
• Assist in preparing departmental budget and implement catering and conference strategy.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to fulfill client requirements; ensure timely execution of BEOs and contracts.
• Interact with guests, meeting planners, and corporate accounts to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Support client menu planning, room setup, decorations, and VIP services as needed.
