Roblox is seeking a Systems Runtime engineer on the Game Engine team to own the Concurrency system—scheduler, fiber runtime, and async APIs—to support scalable, cross‑platform experiences for millions of players.

You will debug production failures across PC, Mac, mobile, and console, optimize performance at the OS/CPU level, and collaborate with other engine teams. The base pay ranges from $196,750 to $243,290 USD with equity and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Strong modern C++ (C++17 or newer) in large production codebase.
• Deep multithreading/concurrency experience—schedulers, thread pools, lock-free programming, atomics.
• Comfort profiling and reasoning about performance at OS/CPU level.

Aufgaben

• Take ownership of the engine's Concurrency system—task scheduler, fiber runtime, and async APIs used by other engine teams.
• Research and implement performance improvements that unblock platform initiatives.
• Serve as a point of contact for concurrency across the org: design reviews, hard parallelism bugs, and cross-team requests.
• Improve ergonomics, testability, and debuggability of concurrent code across PC, Mac, mobile, and console.
