Job summary

Kent Companies seeks a field-oriented superintendent to lead major commercial and industrial concrete operations. The role focuses on driving execution in the field, balancing production with quality, and coordinating with customers and internal teams on high-profile projects.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of superintendent-level commercial concrete experience, self-performs with in-house crews, and is willing to travel 100% to out-of-state data center or warehouse projects.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of superintendent-level commercial concrete construction experience.
• Experience on large commercial and industrial flatwork projects, including large commercial data center, distribution center, or warehouse concrete projects.
• Background self-performing concrete with in-house manpower rather than managing subcontractors.
• Experience managing construction schedules, budgets, manpower utilization, and production rates.
• Knowledge of concrete constructability, mix designs, and place-and-finish operations.
• Experience managing GCs and owners, coordinating with internal project teams, and handling customer communication on active commercial concrete jobs.
• Willingness to travel 100% to out-of-state data center or warehouse projects.
• Holding an American Concrete Institute (ACI) flatwork credential, such as Concrete Flatwork Associate, Concrete Flatwork Finisher / Technician, or Advanced Concrete Flatwork Finisher, is a plus.

In this role, you will help lead major concrete operations on high-profile commercial and industrial projects. The position is centered on driving execution in the field, balancing production goals with quality expectations, and serving as a key point of coordination across customers and internal project teams. It is well suited to a superintendent who understands how to keep large self-perform concrete projects moving while maintaining strong communication and sound construction judgment.
