Job summary

Skillit in Austin is seeking a concrete carpenter to join our commercial construction crew. You will build, set, brace, and strip formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, footings, and columns on site, reading blueprints and civil drawings to ensure precise layouts.

This hands-on role requires the ability to use hand and power tools safely, work outdoors, and collaborate with a team to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Read and follow blueprints, civil drawings, layouts, grades, elevations, measurements.
• Build, set, brace, and strip formwork for foundations, slabs, walls, footings, and columns.
• Operate hand and power tools safely; maintain tools and equipment.
• Lead small crews on larger tasks when assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and project specs; verify measurements and layouts.
• Assemble, install, and check formwork for concrete structures.
• Operate hand and power tools and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Collaborate with foreman to plan tasks and mentor junior crew members.
