Job summary

Techtronic Industries in Anderson, SC seeks an experienced engineer for the Advanced Concepts group to design and prototype future cordless products. You will collaborate with industrial designers and engineers to deliver functional prototypes for feasibility analysis and concept recommendations.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, rapid fabrication, and integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components across product platforms such as power tools and outdoor equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design, product design.
• 3+ years of experience in product design, concept development, and functional prototyping.
• Advanced proficiency in 3D CAD modeling.
• Demonstrated experience integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.
• Hands-on experience with rapid prototype fabrication methods.
• Proficiency with embedded electronics and controls, including Arduino and Raspberry Pi.

Responsibilities

• Ideate and create prototypes that demonstrate future solutions for future product needs.
• Ideate and create demos showcasing our products’ performance and features.
• Work with cross functional team that includes, Industrial Designers, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers.
• Build and manage budget, schedule, and quality expectations to meet key milestones.
• Communicate technical details and concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
