Charles River Analytics, a GRVTY company, is seeking a senior scientist with a deep passion for computer vision, machine learning, and image processing. You will lead diverse projects, develop deployable prototypes, and work with engineers to advance AI-enabled analytics for national security and commercial use.

As Principal Investigator you design R&D programs, mentor teammates, publish results, and present to customers. Strong coding in Python/C++ and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BE in CS, Engineering, Physics, or related; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in CV, ML, and image processing; 10+ years preferred.
• Proficient in Python and C++ development.
• Experience with robotics and autonomous systems.
• Customer-facing experience and PI leadership.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Hybrid schedule with 60% in-office in Cambridge.

Responsibilities

• Design new methods or apply CV/ML techniques to sensing and perception tasks.
• Formulate novel research thrusts underpinning product roadmaps.
• Guide prototype development with end-user communities and partners.
• Coach and mentor other computer vision scientists/engineers.
• Present work to customers, collaborators, and the research community.
• Generate proposals for advancing computer vision capabilities.
