Job summary

Itransition Group is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to lead a two-person team on an X-ray inspection proof of concept for wind turbine blades. You will tackle image normalization, stitching, and tracing of conductors across long blade images, guiding the project toward a scalable solution with a 6–8 month horizon.

You will bring 4+ years in vision, strong Python skills, and the ability to quickly enter unfamiliar imaging domains, with a focus on robust preprocessing, defect tracing,

Qualifications

• 4+ years in computer vision or image processing on real, imperfect images.
• Experience with images too large for memory: tiling, overlap, reconstructing coordinates.
• Strong Python with NumPy and OpenCV.

Responsibilities

• Assess the first images: determine visibility and contrast, where the method will work.
• Define image-quality requirements for the acquisition partner.
• Build preprocessing: tiling, thickness normalization, denoising, seam handling.
• Build the conductor tracing: linear-structure filters, trace graph, branches.
