Intuitive is seeking a Senior AI/ML Research Engineer (Computer Vision) to develop perception models that extract anatomy, instruments, actions, and surgical context from intraoperative video for Embodied-AI systems. Qualifications

• Develop temporal models for activity and workflow understanding.
• Benchmark in-house models against state of the art.
• Define perception input/output specifications and demonstrate offline feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Stand up a continuous-improvement loop and tooling/UI for offline evaluation and real-time use.
• Partner with annotation and data teams to shape label taxonomies and data pipelines.
• Establish the path from offline evaluation to real-time integration.
• Collaborate with AI/ML researchers, robotics, data engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver a perception layer for rapid prototyping and product-ready solutions.
