Job summary

Oklahoma State University in Stillwater is seeking a Computer Specialist I - Sr II to provide on-site and remote end-user IT support, set up workstations, manage software licenses, and maintain documentation. The role also updates front-end CMS sites (IFSTA and IFSJLM), delivers training for staff, supports IT for conferences, and collaborates with vendors.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential; lifting up to 50 pounds is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site and remote end-user support for hardware and software issues, including setting up new workstations and applications, and offering user training and documentation.
• Research, recommend, and acquire hardware, software, and services in collaboration with vendors and OSU Purchasing, while managing software licenses, subscriptions, and hardware purchases.
• Oversee identity management by creating and maintaining user accounts for networks, cloud services, and email, ensuring proper configurations for new and existing employees.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT procedures, equipment, and licenses.
• Maintain and update the front-end presentation and functionality of the IFSTA and IFSJLM websites, collaborating with the maintenance team for testing and managing web updates.
• Develop and deliver training programs for FPP staff on technology systems.
• Provide IT support to International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA) and its bi-annual conference (as needed).
