Job summary

Dexis is seeking a Computer Operator IV to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program in Aberdeen, Maryland. The role focuses on advanced computer operations, data collection, and reporting using tools like Cognos within a Secret environment as required.

You will set up test projects, manage electronic data-entry forms, monitor data flow, and train users while traveling as needed. The position requires security clearance eligibility and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Studies or a related field and four (4) years of experience; OR an Associate’s degree and six (6) years of experience; OR eight (8) years of experience using data-entry software tools in a Windows environment and industry-standard reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Microsoft Access, or Crystal Reports.

Responsibilities

• Support functional users of computer systems by accepting processing requirements and preparing them for execution.
• Set up and maintain test projects, suggest improvements, and customize electronic data-entry forms for complex projects.
• Use web-enabled data management systems such as ODIN and VDLS to track and monitor data flow.
• Use application tools such as Cognos to query databases and produce professional reports based on user requirements.
• Monitor daily data flow to identify errors or anomalies for corrective action.
• Work with users and personnel from within the government organization and other agencies to formulate requirements that may result in system modifications.
• Identify and resolve routine technical problems involving data collection software and databases.
• Provide user training on software packages as required.
• Operate in a Secret environment in accordance with required security procedures and regulations when required.
