Job summary

Dexis is seeking a Computer Operator I to support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program in Aberdeen, Maryland. You will assist with data collection, test scheduling, technical writing, and range operations, learning to use web-enabled data management tools and Cognos for reporting.

The role involves setting up test projects, querying databases, and producing reports while traveling within CONUS/OCONUS as needed and maintaining security clearances.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Studies or related field; OR two years of experience with data-entry software tools in Windows and standard reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Microsoft Access, or Crystal Reports.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must possess a high school diploma.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Assist functional users of computer systems by accepting processing requirements and preparing them for execution.
• Assist in setting up and maintaining test projects and suggest improvements to customized electronic data-entry forms.
• Learn and gain experience using web-enabled data management systems such as ODIN and VDLS to track and monitor data flow.
• Learn and gain experience using application tools such as Cognos to query databases and produce professional reports based on user requirements.

About the Position

Dexis is seeking a ComputerOperator Ito support a large-scale Army test and evaluation program. The project provides data collection, technical writing, computer operations,rangescheduling, and administrative support services necessary to execute the government\u2019s test mission. Support encompasses testing of a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel, with services including data collection and coordination, data compilation and processing, development and management of data collection forms, test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, reporting, data and software administration, range scheduling, and related operational support.

The Computer Operator Iassistsfunctional users with computer processing requirements and supports the setup and maintenance of test projects and customized electronic data-entry forms. The role learns and gains experience using web-enabled data management and reporting tools to track data flow, query databases, and produce reports based on user requirements.

Work will be performed primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with travel to other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required by mission needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.

• Associate\u2019s degree in Computer Studiesor a related field such as Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or Computer Technology; OR two (2) years of experience using data-entry software tools in a Windows environment and industry-standard reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Microsoft Access, or Crystal Reports.
• Must be able to obtain andmaintaina Secret security clearance.
• Mustpossessa high school diploma.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.
• Must be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS asrequired.
