Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. is seeking a Technician Compounding Pharmacy III to support pharmacists, process orders, and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will perform sterile compounding in a clean room at least 50% of the time and assist with IV therapies, ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety in line with USP 797 & 800 guidelines; strong attention to detail and compassion for patients are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of pharmacy technician experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if state requires).
• Successful enrollment and completion of AltaMed designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure/training is required).
• Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Minimum BLS certification or higher as per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in processing orders and coordinating patient care.
• Prepare and dispense medications and supplies with accuracy.
• Work in a clean room for compounding at least 50% of time; maintain sterile techniques.
• Ensure safe preparation of IV therapies and compliance with USP 797 & 800.
