Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Composite Technician III to build and assemble composite structures for the Neutron launch vehicle. You will work in the Space Structures Complex, performing lamination, bonding, vacuum bagging, and curing processes while ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality.

You will use hand and power tools, verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers, and support integration of mechanical hardware. On-site role with potential cross-product assignments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in composite production, military equipment maintenance, or mechanical troubleshooting.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience using various hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Assembly of structures including setup, bonding and fastener applications.
• Laminate assemblies by determining proper placement of composite materials.
• Prepare parts for bagging, including placement of bleeders, thermocouples, probes and vacuum connections.
• Vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing.
• Making basic layouts on parts or assemblies to establish reference points and check dimensions with measuring tools.
• Fitting of Honeycomb, foam and syntactic core.
• Fitting and refurbishment of thermal protection systems.
• Integration of mechanical hardware.
• Work on other Rocket Lab products or travel as required.
