Job summary

Rocket Lab in Middle River, MD is seeking a Composite Development Technician at multiple levels to support Neutron program in the Space Structures Complex. You will develop advanced composite processes, perform complex layups, and execute precision bonding and assembly tasks.

This role requires hands-on tooling, drawing interpretation, and flexibility for extended shifts. Base pay range and comprehensive benefits are provided, including medical, dental, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience with composite component R&D and repair and maintenance (military or civilian).
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience using various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced manufacturing processes for laminates and bonded joints.
• Develop techniques to streamline assembly incl. bonding and fastener applications.
• Layup of complex laminates with precise ply placement and honeycomb core.
• Apply measurement techniques to verify reference points and drawings.
• Integrate mechanical hardware with high precision and perform repairs.
• May work on other Rocket Lab products or travel as required.
