Job summary

Rocket Lab USA is seeking Composite Technicians at Middle River, MD to build and assemble composite structures for the Neutron Launch Vehicle. You will laminate, bond, and vacuum bag components, set reference points, and verify dimensions with precision tools.

The role includes working with Honeycomb, foam, and core materials, plus assembly of mechanical hardware across multiple technician levels. Base salary is reviewed with experience; the team offers a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualifications

Experience in composite production, military equipment maintenance, or mechanical troubleshooting, installation, repair of manufacturing equipment.
High School Diploma or GED.
Experience using various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assemble structures including setup, bonding and fastener applications.
Laminate assemblies by determining proper placement of composite materials.
Prepare parts for bagging, including placement of bleeders, thermocouples, probes and vacuum connections.
Vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing.
Make basic layouts on parts or assemblies to establish reference points and check dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
Fit Honeycomb, foam and syntactic core and refurbishment of thermal protection systems.
Integrate mechanical hardware and perform standard composite/build techniques.
