Job summary

Czinger Vehicles is seeking an experienced Body Systems Engineer to refine and implement interior and exterior composite body panels, 3D printed components, and related hardware. You will drive 3D packaging, create manufacturing drawings, and lead cross-functional teams across Design, CAE, Manufacturing, and other subsystems.

Responsibilities include material selection, laminate development, part/assembly releases, and providing hands-on support during development, prototype, and production

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; 5+ years in automotive or motorsport.
• Experience with composite/lightweight materials and tooling development.
• Proven ability to deliver quality systems on time and within budget.
• Hands-on 3D CAD modeling and 2D part drawings.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience with interior, exterior, or closures systems.

Responsibilities

• Refine and generate technical solutions for interior and exterior composite body panels and 3D printed components.
• Develop concepts, drive 3D packaging, and generate manufacturing drawings and install procedures via CAD.
• Lead collaborative development with Design, CAE, Manufacturing, and other interfacing subsystems.
• Drive material selection, laminate development, and manufacturing integration of composite parts.
• Release parts and assemblies through the program lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on technical support during development, prototype, and production builds.
• Manage parts and suppliers from concept to production; capture lessons learned.
• Lead Electrical and Software teams with hardware integration.
• Create design documents: specs, BOMs, FMEAs, DVPRs.
• Communicate with internal/external customers; adhere to timing/budget; cost reductions.
• Assist sourcing with suppliers and prepare SOWs and purchase requests.
