Job summary

You will create mechanical designs in CATIA V5 for late-model air-cooled Porsches, and collaborate across global teams to meet stringent program targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering with automotive emphasis.
• 10+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience in automotive.
• Experience in design and release of components and systems.
• Master’s degree with automotive emphasis is a bonus.
• Knowledge of DFMEA and design for manufacturability strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize mechanical designs using CATIA V5 for Porsche-related products.
• Develop body systems and components including BIW, exterior, closures, glass.
• Plan part evaluations and validation plans for vehicle integration.
• Interface with suppliers to deliver project milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements.
