Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; four-year college program.
• 10+ years as a Design Engineer in a composites-focused role; advanced degree may substitute.
• Experience with structural analysis and finite element modeling.
• Experience with mechanical and environmental testing for flight qualification.

Responsibilities

• Designs or directs design for composite structures to meet customer specifications.
• Leads development programs to ensure tasks, schedules, and budgets are met.
• Supports team members in design phases and generates statements of work.
• Coordinates with vendors for structural analysis, tooling, and environmental testing.
• Interacts with customers to answer questions and provide technical data; supports program managers.
• Assists Business Development with technical input on sales calls and cost estimates.
• Prepares proposals with design concepts and technical approaches.
