Job summary

Communications & Power Industries (CPI) is seeking a Composites Engineer to support design, test, and manufacture of radomes, antenna reflectors, and related composite products for aerospace, defense, naval, and commercial applications. The role includes project support of composite structures in development and production programs.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering, familiarity with CAD (Fibersim), tooling concepts, and MS Office, with entry-level candidates considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with tooling concepts, material testing, reading drawings.
• Familiar with CAD tools (Fibersim).
• Willing to consider entry level candidates with materials or related degrees.
• Experience with MS Office and standard test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Project engineering support of composite structures in development and production program
• Reviewing customer/product specifications
• Development of manufacturing process specifications for building composite radomes including the tools, fixtures, materials, and assembly procedures for all products
• Maintaining reliable process procedures/product quality and status
• Process improvements
• Technical writing, including reports and work instructions
• Data collection, manufacturing material allowances (BOM)
• Estimating manufacturing allowances for proposals
