Overview

As a Senior Workforce Operations Specialist, you will take a leadership role in managing our contractor and contingent worker lifecycle, ensuring compliance, efficient payroll processing, and exceptional worker relations.

Base pay range

$55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Provide end to end support and customer service to workers and OJ Front Office
• Ensure compliance with US & Canada labour laws (including classification rules) and state legislation/regulations including horizon scanning for upcoming changes.
• Manage the screening and onboarding of workers in line with company standards and client requirements.
• Oversee the collection and verification of worker documentation, personal information, tax related forms.
• Manage worker compliance ensuring company/personal documentation is valid for the duration of their assignments
• Maintain accurate worker records.
• Process worker resignations and terminations.
• Utilise specialist knowledge to escalate and manage any potential risk to the business
• Lead within the Workforce Operations team, including training team members
• Manage training sessions for OJ Front Office
• Collaborate with the Payroll and Contract to Pay team to ensure accurate payments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate MI/KPIs for team performance and compliance metrics.
• Contribute to regional and functional reporting by providing timely and accurate data.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements

Qualifications

• Work in an autonomous role where you can manage your own working day with a high degree of responsibility.
• Proven track record in a HR, Compliance or Payroll function.
• Understanding of federal and state classification rules
• Strong knowledge of labour laws and compliance requirements.
• Experience of managing various engagement types – for example W2/Corp to Corp/H1B/T4
• Good time management skills and past record of meeting strict deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft products.
• A preference for Salesforce CRM experience, but not essential.
• Recruitment industry experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented and highly organised.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a global, diverse team.
