Job summary

Qualifications

• 10+ years in insurance compliance or related risk functions.
• Deep expertise in surplus lines taxes, filings, licensing, and sanctions compliance.
• Experience leading operational compliance teams and high-volume processes.
• Strong knowledge of state insurance regulations and regulatory filing requirements.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable business processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational execution of key compliance programs, including financial crimes and licensing.
• Align programs with the Compliance Risk Framework and federal/state rules.
• Develop, document, and maintain policies, procedures, and controls.
• Implement risk-based monitoring, QA, and testing protocols.
• Establish KPIs/KRIs to measure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence.
• Strengthen governance for issue identification, escalation, and remediation.
• Provide advisory support to underwriting, distribution, and finance.
• Collaborate with Legal, ERM, Internal Audit and leadership for alignment.
• Support regulatory examinations and inquiries.
• Build and develop high-performing teams; plan succession.
