Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking a Compliance Director in New York to lead regulatory oversight across critical business lines. You will partner with stakeholders to identify risks, implement controls, and advise on digital assets, tokenization, and AI-related regulatory topics.

You will help shape policies, monitor developments, and respond to regulatory inquiries, with a focus on a growing set of digital asset initiatives and emerging technologies. Hybrid work is available in the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a senior compliance, legal, risk, or regulatory role within financial services.
• Direct experience with digital assets, tokenization, blockchain technology, cryptocurrency products or related investments.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting digital assets and emerging financial technologies.
• Experience assessing regulatory risk and advising business stakeholders on new products, services, or strategic initiatives.
• Asset management, fintech, capital markets, or investment adviser experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools and understanding of their compliance and regulatory implications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory oversight and compliance guidance for assigned business lines and activities.
• Collaborate with business partners to address compliance risks and implement effective controls.
• Interpret and apply regulatory requirements to business initiatives, products, and services.
• Prepare and present compliance position memos, guidance, and related materials.
• Support the development and enhancement of compliance policies and procedures.
• Advise on emerging regulatory topics, including digital assets, tokenization, blockchain technology, and AI-related risks.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential impacts on business activities and compliance programs; support examinations and remediation activities as needed.
