The Department of Business and Industry, Division of Insurance in Las Vegas seeks a Compliance/Audit Investigator II to perform investigative and auditing duties, monitor compliance, and detect violations of federal and state laws or regulations in targeted program areas.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, or related field with two years of relevant experience; or a high school diploma with four years’ experience; or two years as Compliance/Audit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, business management, accounting or related field and two years of professional investigative/auditing experience; OR high school diploma with four years of experience; OR two years as Compliance/Audit Investigator I in Nevada state service.

Responsabilités

• Receive and review formal complaints; determine jurisdiction and extent of violations; gather facts and analyze background information.
• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, employers and agencies to obtain information and develop leads.
• Prepare forms/notices and deliver them to parties; respond and discuss with complainant and respondent.
• Develop case files and logs; preserve evidence and document investigative steps for potential litigation.
• Gather and review financial and business records; serve subpoenas as required; identify trends and violations.
• Conduct audits to verify compliance and explain applicable Federal/State guidelines; report findings and recommendations.
• Prepare investigative and audit reports for hearings or prosecution; provide testimony as required.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
