The Department of Business and Industry’s Division of Insurance in Las Vegas seeks a Compliance/Audit Investigator 2 to monitor and enforce compliance with federal and state laws in a specialized program area. The role includes investigative duties, audits, and documenting findings to justify actions or penalties.

Responsibilities include reviewing complaints, conducting interviews, assembling case files, and collaborating with agencies.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in business or public administration or related field with 2 years’ investigative/audit or program-related experience; OR high school diploma with 4 years’ experience in investigative/audit roles; OR 2 years as Compliance/Audit Investigator I in Nevada state service.

Responsabilités

• Receive and review formal complaints and determine jurisdiction and violations.
• Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, employers, and agencies to gather facts.
• Develop case files, maintain logs, and preserve evidence for reports or litigation.
• Gather and review financial records and documents to detect trends and violations.
• Perform periodic audits of firms to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare reports and notices; present findings to supervisor or Attorney General.
