In this senior role you will collaborate with insureds, brokers, and defense counsel to resolve claims fairly and efficiently, while mentoring junior staff and driving best practices across the team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of GL and BI claims handling.
• 5+ years in commercial GL focusing on construction defect.
• 5-10+ years of litigation experience.
• Bachelor's degree or JD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 80-100 complex GL claims, including litigated files.
• Strategize and maximize early settlement opportunities for construction defect and property damage claims.
• Conduct injury evaluations and negotiate claims up to policy limits.
• Draft and review coverage analyses and document claim files.
• Partner with local defense counsel to monitor litigation and best practices.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as needed.
• Assess exposures and reserve adequacy.
• Identify suspected fraud and coordinate with SIU.
• Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams.
• Keep senior claims management informed.
