Job summary

Hiscox USA is seeking a Complex Claims Specialist A&E to analyze liability claims for potential coverage, set reserves, respond to inquiries, and drive early resolution for Architects and Engineers professional liability claims.

This hybrid role supports offices in Atlanta and other major cities, requires a JD and bar admission or 10+ years of relevant experience, and offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have JD from ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in good standing
• Must have 2–3 years of professional experience in Architecture & Engineering and/or Professional Liability; coverage experience preferred
• Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform core claims management duties including reviewing claim documentation and legal filings
• Draft coverage analyses and strategize early settlement opportunities
• Monitor litigation and manage local defense counsel
• Attend mediations or settlement conferences and liaise with insureds and brokers
• Maintain timely, accurate file documentation in the claims system
