Job summary

NVIDIA in the United States is seeking an experienced Compiler Infrastructure Engineer to join our Compute Compiler Team, focusing on aligning our compiler codebases with open-source ecosystems and boosting developer productivity at scale.

You will reconcile downstream and upstream projects such as LLVM, Clang, and MLIR, design tooling and workflows to accelerate compiler engineers, and explore AI-assisted workflows to improve velocity and robustness.

Qualifications

• Experience with open-source compiler frameworks.
• Excellent C++ programming skills.
• 3+ years in large-scale codebases including refactoring.
• Strong understanding of compiler internals and toolchains.
• Experience with source-control heavy workflows.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile downstream compiler code with upstream projects.
• Lead efforts to reduce divergence from upstream.
• Design and build infrastructure and developer workflows.
• Develop automation and tools for rebasing, patch management, testing.
• Explore AI-assisted tools to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and CI/test infrastructure.
• Serve as a bridge between internal development and open-source ecosystems.
